Creating Photorealistic Visions
A computer wireframe is drawn using a computer modeling program that creates the various shapes and solids of the geometry of the architect's design. Colors and textures are then "mapped" onto these shapes and solids to depict the various building materials such as brick, glass or metal.
Then environmental elements are added such as sky, trees, cars and people. Lastly, virtual "lights" are added to the computer scene to illuminate the virtual model as if it were a sunny day, or perhaps in the evening with the building all lit up. The end result is a realistic "rendering" of the intended design.
